Your Dearborn dental coverage will continue through the last day of the month in which your employment ends. You and/or your dependents may continue your dental coverage for 18 months or more according to your rights under COBRA law. You will receive in the mail detailed information from CONEXIS about continuing your coverage. If you elect COBRA continuation coverage, you will be responsible for the full cost of the applicable premium (the active employee rate) plus a 2% administrative fee.
You and your dependents may continue your dental coverage indefinitely, as long as you notify your local LSU Human Resources department in writing at the time of your retirement, and you continue to pay your monthly premiums in a timely fashion. You will have access to the same dental policies at the same premium rates as active employees. You will receive information in the mail from CONEXIS with information on continuing coverage, direct billing, and automatic bank drafting.
