Duties include serving as an independent healthcare provider who, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team, will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients under the LSUHCSD’s clinic system.

Possession of a valid Louisiana license required by the State of Louisiana to practice Advanced Practice Nursing. Master of Science degree in Nursing with a Nurse Practitioner clinical track. Two years of related clinical nursing experience.

Five years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner to include two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner w/prescriptive authority as permitted under the law. Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or any other credentialing agency recognized by the State of LA. Clinical nursing experience in relative to area of responsibility, high volume clinic settings or other high-volume, high-complexity in-patient services.
