LEVERN MEADES NAMED INTERIM ADMINISTRATOR AT LEONARD J. CHABERT MEDICAL CENTER Shortly after Hospital Administrator Danny Trahan announced his retirement, LSU HCSD CEO System Executive President Donald Smithburg announced that LeVern Meades had been named interim Hospital Administrator at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center (LCMC) in Houma, LA. Danny Trahan, a 27 year veteran of LJCMC retired in January after serving the last fi ve years as Hospital Administrator. In addition to his duties as Interim Hospital Administrator, Meades will continue his position as CEO of Northshore Medical Services, which oversees Lallie Kemp Medical Center and Bogalusa Medical Center. "LeVern has done an outstanding job as administrator of both Bogalusa Medical Center and Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center," said Smithburg. "We look forward to his continued success at Chabert." Meades was named Administrator of Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Independence, LA in 1998. During his tenure, he formed the Lallie Kemp Foundation, a non-profi t organization that maintains all fund-raising for employee education and recognition activities, as well as improvements to the facility. He also brought back the Oncology and Cardiology programs. During his time as Hospital Administrator at Bogalusa Medical Center, Meades oversaw the merger of Washington/ St.Tammany Regional Medical Center with Bogalusa Community Medical Center. "I'm excited and honored by this opportunity in Houma," said Meades, who adds, "I am privileged to lead an outstanding team who are committed to excellence and dedicated to assisting all of our managers and staff carry out our missions effectively." |
