MCL Outreach Clinic set to open in Terrytown

Plans to open the Medical Center of Louisiana Outreach Clinic at Terrytown are on target for a post-Thanksgiving holiday opening.

Although MCL already offers a wide array of health care services to metropolitan New Orleans, the clinic at 128 Wright Ave. will bring many of these same services to residents of the West Bank, who previously had to travel to downtown New Orleans.

"Neighborhood clinics such as this facilitate patient flow, making service more efficient," said Dr. Cathi Fontenot, "which ultimately leads to better medical outcomes for our patients."

The clinic at Terrytown will include six exam rooms, telemedicine capabilities and primary care services provided by a nurse practitioner and family medicine doctor five days a week.

The location of the clinic is conveniently located and provides ample parking, and comfortable patient and work spaces.

The Terrytown clinic is one of eight clinics LSUHCSD plans to open in the New Orleans area.
