Post-employment billing managed by Your Benefit Plan
Your Davis Vision coverage will continue through the last day of the month in which your employment ends. You and/or your dependents may continue your vision coverage for 18 months or more according to your rights under COBRA law. You will receive in the mail detailed information from Your Benefit Plan about continuing your coverage. If you elect COBRA continuation coverage, you will be responsible for the full cost of the applicable premium (same as active employees).
You and your dependents may continue your vision coverage indefinitely, as long as you notify your local LSU Human Resources department in writing at the time of your retirement, and you continue to pay your monthly premiums in a timely fashion. You will have access to the same vision policies at the same premium rates as active employees. You will receive information in the mail from Your Benefit Plan with information on continuing coverage, direct billing, and automatic bank drafting.
