How to Create a Desktop Shortcut to a Web Page

These are two of the various means to create a desktop shortcut to a specific web page:
 

Right Click Method:

  1. Go to the web page for which a shortcut is to be made (e.g., http://www.lsuhospitals.org/finance).
  2. Right-click on any blank space on the page.
  3. Click "Create Shortcut" from the popup menu that appears.
Drag and Drop Method:
  1. Go to the web page for which a shortcut is to be made (e.g., http://www.lsuhospitals.org/finance).
2. Size the web page so that you can see a portion of your desktop (see upper red circle in picture to the right).
3. Left click on the Internet Explorer icon located to the right of the address (see lower red circle in picture to the right).
4. While continuing to hold the left mouse button down, drag the mouse to a blank segment of the desktop.
