Mr. Scott has held hospital leadership positions in both the public and private sectors and has an extensive background in hospital facilities planning and construction.

A fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives, Scott received a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans. He attended the Health Care Executive Leadership Development Institute of the American College of Health Care Executives at the University of North Carolina.

Since coming to LSU BMC in February 2007, his focus has been on expanding primary and specialty care services and implementing numerous facility expansion and renovation projects to accommodate growth.
