bmc receives gold level award

BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana State University Bogalusa Medical Center and four other hospitals in the LSU system received awards from the Louisiana Health Care Review, Inc., recently. The hospitals each picked up a 2006 Louisiana Hospital Quality Award for their commitment to sustained performance and/or improvement in providing quality care to patients...BMC and the University Medical Center in Lafayette each received a Gold Level award for improvement in three of four clinical areas.

Kurt M. Scott, FACHE
Administrator Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Scott has held hospital leadership positions in both the public and private sectors and has an extensive background in hospital facilities planning and construction.

A fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives, Scott received a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans. He attended the Health Care Executive Leadership Development Institute of the American College of Health Care Executives at the University of North Carolina.
