Nicholls State University Continuing Nursing Education
LJCMC has pre-purchased seats for nursing staff attendance at their continuing nursing education programs.  These pre-paid seats are limited and issued on a first-served basis.  For more information, e-mail or call the Education Department at (985) 873-1819.

LSU Tuition Exemption
It is the policy of the Chabert Medical Center to provide tuition exemption for training and education (graduate or undergraduate) for its employees at campuses of the LSU system.  For more details about this wonderful opportunity, contact the LJCMC Payroll Department at

Educational Leave
An employee must be a full-time, permanent employee to qualify for Educational Leave.  Eligible employees must apply for and be approved for Educational Leave.  Educational Leave is leave without loss of pay or earned leave.  Educational leave must be applied for in writing and approved prior to the beginning of the regular college semester.  Employees must complete the “Request for Educational Leave” form and obtain their immediate supervisor’s approval.  The request is then submitted to the Payroll Department for approval of the Hospital Administrator.
