SCOPE OF SERVICES

• Coordinate, provide consultation and act as a resource to review research projects/studies for investigators before establishment of all clinical trials on premises

• Review, submission, amendments and continuing
  review of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications

• Assistance with research grant writing, review, submission, etc.

• Arrangements for site visits

• Enhance involvement of physicians, clinical staff, residents and fellows into scholarly activities

• New Business Development

• Budget negotiation for sponsored projects, management of research related fiscal matters and ensure financial viability of each clinical study

• Assistance with Contract reviews for sponsored projects

• Regulatory affairs and maintenance of research compliance

• Hold monthly meetings to discuss issues surrounding clinical trials and future planning

• Assistance in preparation of manuscripts for research publications, case reports, presentations, etc.

• Collaborations with surrounding research institutions
  such as Nicholls State University (Thibodaux), Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center at LSUHSC (New Orleans), Pennington Biomedical Research Center (Baton Rouge), Ochsner Clinic Foundation (New Orleans), etc.
