Parents, guardians, and care-givers of infants and young children are often required by the physician to attend C.P.R. training prior to discharge from the new-born nursery or the pediatric unit of LJCMC. Family and friends of cardiac patients may also be referred to C.P.R. training by an LJCMC physician. The “CPR for Family and Friends”™ course is provided for these individuals in the Nursery and the Pediatric In-Patient Department.
The American Heart Association® is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
